Chicago Board of Trade

This 25,000 square foot renovation was unique
by its location, two floors below street level.
FAL was challenged to create a comfortable
working environment for senior professional
staff without the benefit of any outside
exposure.

The design palette applied to new furnishings
and finishes conveys a bright, but subtle and
calming impression.  All perimeter walls were
washed with light floor to ceiling to offset the
perception of confinement.  Glass partitions
were extensively employed to add further
brightness and create a feeling of 
spaciousness and transparency.  All elements
of the design were drawn from building 
standards.
