Cook County Domestic Violence Courts

As associate Architect, FAL participated in 
the   planning  of  this  370,000  square  foot
courthouse  facility.  The project involved the
complete gutting and remodeling of an exist-
ing warehouse located in the South Loop of 
Chicago.  

As  part  of the project team  FAL's  role  in-
cluded  site  selection  and evaluation,  pro-
gramming,  interior design and planning, co-
ordination  of consultants,  and bid and con-
struction  administration.  The  design  con-
sisted  of a  new  atrium  addition, complete 
renovation  of the  exterior  and  interior,  ten 
courtrooms,  associated offices, and support
functions.
