Wheaton Eye Clinic

Wheaton Eye Clinic is a new 23,500 s.f.
outpatient medical services complex on a 
wooded, L-shaped site.  FAL designed the
center to create a "park within a park" by
repeating extensive exterior landscaping within
a generous interior courtyard.  All public 
spaces and many treatment areas face both
the courtyard and the grounds.  Natural light
was subdued or eliminated in certain areas
to protect patients from light sensitivity.

The building's materials palette reflects the 
environment and this scheme is carried 
through into the interior.  FAL designed all
interiors, furnishings and custom fixtures
including a children's center in the waiting area.
