Eckerd Drugs

This 8,500 s.f. store was designed on an 
undeveloped parcel adjacent to the largest 
retail mall in South Florida.  In concert with 
Eckerd Corporate design std.'s and guidelines, 
FAL provided construction contract documents, 
consultant engineering direction, contract 
award & construction observation on behalf of 
the owner of the Intracoastal Mall. Community  
design requirements and constraints 
demanded a sensitivity to the aesthetic and 
character of the surrounding neighborhood.  
Faced with unstable soil and ground water 
condtions which normally would dictate a 
structual design not fully compatible with 
required design aesthetics, FAL explored 
options and resolved these issues to the 
satisfaction of the municipal authorities.
